Bogus Clone was created by Ben P. Dorsi-Todaro President/CEO of Big Ben's Web Hosting. He was inspired to build it by Jonelyn Barr. The idea was formed when Jonelyn Barr wanted Ben P. Dorsi-Todaro to backup all the data on her computer to transfer over to another computer. And the idea of Bogus Clone was formed.
Their have been other cloning tools in the past such as

- Nero BackItUp
- Apple Disk Utility
- And more.
Bogus Clone works differently then any other cloning tool. Because it doesn't require the user to have the same Operating System or Hardware. Which makes Bogus Clone much more flexible.
